This video convinced me to buy one of these! Lovely little heli, and almost
exactly the right size to match HO scale trains. For the battery, I just cut a
partial bit of fine velcro (it was included with my Blade 70 S, which of course
is a 150 V2 clone) and stuck it on the upper part of the mounting area, letting
the nose hold the forward end of the battery in place. The biggest annoyance is
the dead zone in the controls, which is fine when just flying around but makes
it really annoying to attempt precise spot landings. One workaround I found was
to set the trims all the way to one side on the right stick, and then fly it
with constant pressure on the stick, thus moving the dead zone away from the
effective center point. It is more difficult to fly overall that way, but gives
you finer control when landing. I do still fly it with the trims centered most
of the time, though. It's surprisingly good outdoors too, especially in high
rate mode, and actually handles the wind a lot better than my old (much larger)
Blade CX2.
"This is a great little scale copter. The mechanics are very robust design
though of course the plastic fuselage and scale detail bits are fragile. This is
not a trainer but something to enjoy some nice scale flying with and it does it
well. Very stable and solid flyer. Some complain about the way it hovers with
the body not perfectly level. This is a result of the tail rotor not being on
the level of the same plane as the main rotor disc. This offset at hover causes
the copter to hover with one side lower. This is the same thing that happens
with full scale copters. Some full scale copters have a tail rotor that is
offset to raise it up to be in the same plane as main rotor and this eliminates
the side leaning tendency while hovering. The Bell Huey is a good example of
this offset. This little copter is scale so tail rotor is like on full scale
only a light rc copter like this will show the hover lean even more pronounced.
You will definitely feel a different combination of stick positions turning left
compared to right but once you get the feel it's not to difficult to compensate
for.
I made a small jumper cable so I can leave the battery in it while charging
since taking canopy off and on repeatedly will likely damage it.
I fly this with a Taranis X9D with iRangeX IRX4 Plus module and it works great
though I haven't yet figured out how to set up dual rates. I just fly indoors
with low rates so I haven't bothered with it."
Do you think it would be okay to go from 450 and 700 scales to flying this or
would it be smarter to start with a smaller one? Not sure if it's harder to fly
because of the size. Thanks!
Well hello my friend I think that was an excellent excellent review 4 Pros as
well as beginners really like your review this is my first time observing yet
not yet a subscriber I'm using with the RC tanks but Airwolf always gets my
attention love your review..??????????
9:56 flying starts
I had no idea esky made minis i still have my Green esky 450 pretty modded.
Enjoyed the review and the Porsche look sweet too lol
Thanks for sharing! I didn't know they made minis this small! Chase scene with
the Porsche coming next?
What a nice machine. I have ordered one last week. I also got the pod and boom
but in BNF mode. What is the best way to pair it with my DX18? I have a few
spare DSMX Satellites available.
show de bola ..! ele parece ser menor que o xk k110
"As the box slides open, the theme song starts playing in my head....
Very nice."
You could use Blu-Tak instead of the double sided sellotape ??
Hello, I see it's at a slight tilt when flying. Any ways to fix that issue? Or
it's normal for the scale heli?
I would be bouncing that thing against every wall in the garage and end up
totaling it against my wife car....lol
Wish these were still available!
I like the small helicopter model is very nice and cute little helicopter i like
it
I have a question :D Is it possible to use the F150 blades on the Blade 70 S? I
use a huey body on my Blade 70 S and the heli could use some more uplift.
Amei esse brinquedinho!
wow a cc3d flight controller I still have a few of them.
Do you still have to use Trim when flying this ?
