I have been fond of E-Sky since having such good luck with my Honeybees. This heli is quite smooth and comes with a nice 2.4 GHz radio and Esky quality.

Thanks for watching.
"Hey there.
Just wanted to say that I enjoy all of your videos, all very good and
informative. Great to have the perspective of a knowledgeable rc enthusiast.
Keep doing what you are doing, great videos. :-)"
Hey Dave (and Jeff) great review as always. You're gonna run out of room in your
house for all these planes/helis, lol. I'm still enjoying my Blade MCX, I just
put on the night flying parts, fun fun fun. I just purchased a flight sim and a
blade 400 heli, gonna practice on the sim this winter, can't wait untill the
spring to fly the 400 :-)
"as a complete novice I have to say most of what you say makes perfect sense and
I intend to follow what you say, I agree completely about lights, red is always
port.
I teaching myself with 2 helicopters, a racing drone, epg glider and 3 other
fixed wing aircraft with mixed results.. I'm learning a lot from you, thank you"
I really enjoy all your videos Dave and you have helped me get to grips with my
own helo, without your tips 'watch the nose' etc I'd stll be banging walls!
Thanks and keep em coming!
"wow. that thing looks very nice right out of the box.
looks very stable and looks kinda easy to fly.
i was kinda worried when i saw the main rotor blades crooked like that for a
minute.
man i gotta get some of these but im tight for cash so really all i can get is
havocs at the moment.
i like the new one the twin thunder."
"Thanks for posting my response!
I hope we can fly at the same place sometime I'm still relatively new at this.
I love building things from scratch and experimenting.
-Steve"
"I have one just like it, and yea it flys really nice. I like the indent on the
gas, it works out well for me,
good vid - happy flying"
That looks like a really fun heli. I really like the detail they have on it. Is
that an Exceed F-18 I see in the background? Can't wait to see it fly. Thats one
great airplane for sure. 5/5
NIGHTFLYER IM SOOO HAPPY... i just flew my lama v4 for the first time ib like 5
months and it was sweet we have about a foot of snow and i hovered around in my
backyard.ii hovered like 3 inches aboeve a bank and was tempted to land on it
but.... i didnt want to take the risk.cant wait to do it again..ps this heli ur
reviewing looks so SMOOTH
Great video of the e-sky Dave, the only problem i would have with e-sky is that i
can't buy parts for them local,so it would have to be online, but hay for that
price you can't go wrong lol, look forward to the next review and five stars as
always.
Just got one of these! They are awesome. Love all if your videos. You are like
famous for rc and YouTube!
NightFlyyer, clearly you are the man when it comes to rc helis so i have a
question.Which is the more smokin helicopter, the blade 400 or one of those new
Belt cp v2's??I have a blade cx and im looking to go big, thanks for all your
vids,my dad,whos getting older now,now has a new and fun hobbie,and so do i.
wow. that thing looks insanely stable and smooth.
Would you mind explaining the main advantages of the 2.4ghz over the 72mhz
model? Thanks in advance!
hey dave big fan of your show just wanted to tell you to keep up the good work
I bought this heli a few years ago, it flies best indoors, a bit of wind will
push the heli off-course.
Hey Dave I like your videos and I just ordered a Walkera CB180Q which is my
first fixed pitch heli. I don't know if you take requests but I would love it if
you did a review on one and had a part about how to set it up for outdoor
flight, since this is practice for the 450 i plan to buy later. what kind of
adjustments, swapped out parts, nose weights, etc. do you find work best for
outdoor flying? thanks nightflyer, btw lol at the fishing with a heli video!
Mr Herbert, when I fly my Hunter outside, it sometimes struggles to move forward
even when its seems like there is no wind. Is there any way to adjust/add pitch?
Also, what is the Gain and Proportional adjustments on the Speed-Controller?
Thanks in advance.
Looked pretty awesome until I noticed that it was a coaxial.
Excellent review. Hey NightFlyyer...could you send me your 9 tips to flying
helis? Appreciate your helpful dedication to this subject!
Outdoors such as this one fly fine outside with wind, I wouldn't go out with it
going much more than 6/7 MPH
nice chopper,looks good..great review
Hi Dave. My new Eflite CX3 "toilet bowls" out of control- very unstable. No
crashes and I'm an intermediate pilot/builder of several micro and 450 size
birds. This one's troubling me and is indicitive to counter-rotaters I'm sure.
Hey Dave ! I have a video of a heli just like that one.... at the Grand Canyon.
You can check out the video on my main page. The pilot said it's about a 2
million dollar machine :)
Just bought one and saw your video. Thanks for the demo.
How in the world do you afford all these planes and helis!!?? Thats crazy. Great
vid. 5 stars!
great video i love all your videos ..but would you recomend this heilcopter over
the E-flite cx2 if you you like another coaxial more i just started flying 1
month and pretty good need some advice for my next larger heil.
I know you made this video before your house fire but the fuselage is available
on eBay really cheap, I was thinking about buying it and shoving a flybarless
heli into it. I¨d have to figure out a way of making a ducted fan that would
work with this fuselage. Do you remember if the plastic skin was super cheap and
soft or was it hard? I know it was a long time ago.
"For less than 99 dollars yrs ago w all those features, 2.4, lipo, rtf that was
a superb deal.
I always enjoy all your videos, many blessings and ty!"
This Heli looks really nice !
nice little heli, dave! great video
"Great video!!!
Having problems with my lama v-3.
It will not klimb.
It only moves a few cm over the floor.
I think the batteries are ok. Had it for about a year, has?n flown so mutch with
it.
Any tips?
Buy the way how long does it take to kompose this amazing video? (sorry for the
spelling)"
Fantastic as always. Nice body on that thing. Dave, awhile back you did a vid on
some vintage radios and a little bit of your shop there. Every vid i am noticing
new things on your walls. Give us a nice vid of your workshop there! :) Where
are you keeping all of these planes? Are you tossing the boxes or do you stack
them up? Prep me for what I will be doing when I retire, please Dave.
"Hi Steve over here next door in Michigan,
This was my first helicopter in 2009.
My second helicopter was an ESKY Belt CP V2.. and what an unexpected surprise
that that was to try and fly when I thought I mastered the 4CH Hunter 2 weeks
after getting it!
Anyhow like you I like to build & experiment.. I left you a video response of my
Belt CP V2 today flybarless with no fancy 3 axis electronic stabilization
system.. still have the stock long indirect servo linkages which probably is not
optimal."
just pure awesomeness lol i hope i get a heli for christmas, but my family can
hardly afford it
"This is the video that got everything rolling for me!
My intro to RC Helicopters."
Keeps the aircraft stable :)
I guess someone already wrote this, but there are +12 mm and +8 mm internal
shafts available, they help to lower the risk of a blade strike.
Night i really miss this unboxing videos, please make more!
hey heligod nice vid as usual. and thanks for the great informatinon. just
wanted to know if Xheli also does free shipping out of the U.S. for their video
subscribers out of the U.S?!! thanks a lot.
I,d love to get one and paint it with a U.S.C.G. paint job. I used to fly the
Sikorsky HH52a back in the day.
congratulations, beautiful helicopter.
thanks for 3-way comparison. i think i'll try the Blazing star next.
these things really interest me I just ordered a dragonfly sm606 today I figured
it might be good to learn on,I had some bad experiences with r/c planes lol like
150 bucks laying on the ground in peices experiences lol.
"Hey Dave. Just wondering, is this the same size as the Big Lama? or it is a bit
smaller?
Thanks"
Also, please post a video science hobby class on how to remove the indents from
the TX, I would love to see you doing it, although it's easy for you, it's not
for many. Thanks.
hey man, i just subed you, i love this channel :). im 16, my dad promised me
when i was 12 that we would going to buy and fly one of these, and we're still
looking for one!(we live in greece). do you know somewhere where i can order one
online?
Hi Dave, my chopper has a vibration in the tail and I have adjusted about
everything. I had a crash which bent the rotor shaft slightly, but is now fixed.
Can you maybe suggest anything?
beatifull rc helicopter grande nightflyyer!!!!!!!!!!!!
4-channel means that you have 4 different controls: forwards/backwards, up/down,
slide left/right and turn left/right.Each channel is responsible for one
control. 3-channel helicopters cannot slide to the left or right. They are only
able to turn left/right.only
i just keep wondering what is the trainer switch for and what it the propper
setup for this Heli??? and u rock mate
Dave i have a question can you do a video review of 3d foamie profile planes?
I then purchased a twister 3d pro similar to your blade 400 a lot harder to
control for a beginner like me but for 50 bucks diference in price with cheaper
parts I'm now a lot happier. Maybe esky isnt that bad but from the experience i
had i wont ever try them again when Walkera offer the same product with the
alloy upgrades as standard.
Nice heli how much was it is it a good beginner heli? Very nice review.
Can it hold some kind of FPV systems? Can it hold a stronger lipo battery? How
does it behave on outside winds? Can it go ok on windy environments? Thanks,
nice video.
"Nice little bit of kit that Dave, and good to see Jeff dose have his wings now!
Good one Jeff!
Dave, how many tings that fly do you actualy have? You must have a complete
airforce there!
Nige.
Ps have you got a chinook yet?"
very nice video thank you!!
Im a novis when it comes to RC Heli's but I thought the video was a good
demonstration of the kit. Thanks for posting. Now, can I get one of these in the
UK ?
@3nasacova It's not the diameter that changes, it's the length. The Xtreme
internal shaft is longer than the stock one, thus increasing the distance
between upper and lower rotor blades. Still, if you try hard enough...
But its a Counter Rotation Heli so it uses counter spinning blades to keep it
self stable and to turn it just speeds up or slows down one of the blades.
oh and great!!! videos dave. thanks very much
do they send these to you for free to test and review
can you do loops or funnels with the Heli
i got mine for 55 bucks for christmass! is very stable. after adjusting it. very
light.
"What happened with the blade strike? (other than the obvious...blade strike lol)
I just bought the 2.4g hunter...should get here Thursday. Any tips / suggestions
other than on this video would be appreciated!
Love the vids by the way...keep em coming."
What's the "training switch" for? How does it work? I have two of them on my new
"Blazing Star" transmitter but they're not covered in the instructions.
I,d love to get one and paint it with a U.S.C.G. paint job. I used to fly the
Sikorsky HH52a back in the day. Who,s the music, I liked it.
"do i see a f/a-18 jet in the back?
ooo when will that be out :p
Great flying Dave, smooth little helicopter, nice job jeff."
closest thing I've flown to it is a helimax rotofly ,show how little experience
i have
Thanx for the reply!! I will have to check out that night club,! Ive been
wanting to meet some new male nightflyyer "rc" fans!!
I must be cursed at flying heli's. Every one I try to fly goes out of control
and crashes. Coaxial, Fixed pitch, and Collective pitch, I have issues with,
mostly with the throttle. For some reason I simply can not get them to hover.
Guess it must be pilot error. They either hit the ceiling or the floor.
that's beatiful where did you get it
Yes. It's in 100 % normal. It's indoor heli, so your friend should fly it
indoor. For me it's the best heli for indoor flying. And this recension is
awsome. But it's normal fo mr. Dave Herberts, becouse he's a great r/c heli and
plane pilot.
Cool video. I'm just curious, but do you buy all of these toys or do they give
them to you to review?
do you like the lama v4 ? is it good for first timers
Give it time...I have had two (cx) and both have burned up circuit boards. I
have the big outside lama...its far from junk!
Hey dave, have you ever had a hobbyzone supercub
"Not possible with a fixed pitch helicopter like this.
If Nightflyer can post a video of him looping this chopper, I will buy YOU one!
;)"
I found one under the house I used to rent. We have lost the controller but I
want to get it up and running.
6 channels means that it has the same controls as a 4 channel but can fly upside
down with a flick of a switch. It is called 3d look it up.
it is really nice of you to let your friend fly it. hey for cristmas my mom is
getting me the honeybee cp2 and co-comanche. i already have the belt cp
Anyone know if the tail rotor works or is just for show?
hey dave i have a problem with my esky co-manche is just a litle bit larger than
the hunter (i guess) but they use the same battery 2 cell 800 mah. my problem is
that i feel like my battery is lasting a lot less and i know you shouldnt run
lipos all way dead. i use mine until il lifts some 3 or 4 inches from the ground
and i dont know if this has something to see with my lipo running out faster. is
that i had to buy a non esky lower blades for mine and had to give more power to
one of the motor
"Thats a nice Helicopter for a cheap price...
And i like the blue led lamp in the back.Awsome what happend in the helicopter
koax scene....... i have 3 Koax and it was the right think for Mens playtoys!
Greets from Germany"
Like the tail rotor, dislike the white skids, takes the great looks away. Dont
matter much ...right now, everybody is out of stock. Nice video, again.
"Which one is better:
Lama V4 or this one (Hunter)"
@colaemil There are some heli's that got that option, but i don't think this one
has, it's one of the cheaper heli's.. but i'm not sure though, i only use fueled
heli's none with a battery, flying time is less, and it's less fun :D
i had a falcon 40 a year ago which i returned,,,i am now thinking of getting a
lama v4...i just learned that if you flay a 4 ch coaxil and then fly a 4 ch
single rotor like the flacon is going to be different...i understand the basics
of a 4 ch heli,,,what should i get the?
I love koaxial!
The Hunter or the Blade cx2 what do you think is better?
when you get into the bigger rc choppers they feel more realistic. like the 6
channel helis. look son, doing flips, bank turns, putting a camera on ya chopper
gets me so excited i jump up and down. who needs a chick when ya have a chopper
how dose it fly outside with little wind?
I wish more people were as happy with hobbies as much as you are XD
@ERALOK28 yeah but they are really good to fly
"I would love to have you as an uncle or something.
The Coolest Uncle Alive, if anything."
Right, but I have made a mistake: I didnt mean "slide" left/right but "roll"
left/right. I wrote "slide" because a RC-helicopter cannot roll at low speed
without crashing, it can only "roll a little bit" if you make tiny control
inputs so it "slides" left or right. Roling the heli is only possible if speed
and altitude are OK.
how much was this and is it good for beginners?
@4x4Tinny: You should add that Xtreme brand alu upgrades are better than ESky.
moves to top of shopping list!!
