this is a review of the VS tank R micro battling tank set. It comes with 2 tanks and 2 transmitters that the tanks charge on. the tanks have 8 way control meaning they are able to move forward backwards, spin, and turn left and right while moving forward or in reverse.

each tank also has an infra red cannon and receiver , each time the cannon shoots, the tank realistically recoils, makes a sound and sends out an infra red pulse, when you hit the other tank with 5 infrared canon pulses you kill their tank. each tank also has a machine gun, it takes 3 hits from the machine gun to remove one of the tanks 5 lives.

The deluxe combo set also comes with a set of cd jewel case connectors so that you can build obstacles with your cd cases.

This is one of the most enjoyable rc vehicles I have ever had, they are a lot of fun for one person, and your friends can join in the fun.

the one thing missing that I would like to see is proportional control, the tanks have a tendency to spin faster then you want them to. it would be nice to have better control over them, but all in all they are very capable micro tanks that are fun for all ages.

The treads are fully functional, they work just like real tank treads, they even sound like real tank treads, these tanks are really good at climbing obstacles, they have a lot of torque.
in norway I bought a wery similar tank set with two tanks, but the difference was that the tanks could have a sort of autopilot so you could play alone. both could have it at the same time, and they actually fought as if I were controlling.
That's what my girlfriend said when she first saw the price. but now she loves them. we've gotten a few weeks of fun out of them, and we both agree we are glad we got them.

"you can buy a single tank and transmitter for about 30 dollars. i think that it's a pretty good price considering it has 8 way control, a turning turret. a working infrared canon and machine gun. and a nice transmitter that can control up to 4 tanks.

they had to pull a bunch off shelves because of bad motors, I went through 3 sets looking for a good one, I'm glad i got it at my LHS

@BobioRules you aren't the only person, that is one of the reasons these aren't on the market anymore, I also went through 3 sets before getting a good one. when they work they are a lot of fun though.

@Henkieswa as long as we keep supporting this industry it will become a reality, just look at the video game industry, we want from Atari and vector graphics to 3d rendered AI controlled games with online multiplayer capabilities. The gamers wanted it and now it's reality.
