All RC Tanks on Earth (Full Series)

Online social commentary (media commentary):

This is an update to a video I did about 4 years ago. If you're thinking about buying your first RC Tank you should watch that video first, and it can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xRIi... Then you can come back for the update.
Every time I see these RC tanks I always wonder how cool it would be to have scale tanks that shoot live ammunition and can fight other tanks in a controlled field surrounded by a protective sheet of bullet resistant glass.
"Hi Gary, I'm just starting out in the the rc hobby tank world here in the UK and find your videos really helpful and full of useful information. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
" Ty so much for the video. I have a tiger one and have been wanting to get a second tank, just wasn¡¯t sure what would compliment it. This video helped a great deal and I was leaving toward a American tank but I¡¯m seeing the options on the others wow lots to think about. Anyway, very informational video will look at your others and can¡¯t wait till next one.
Thanks for this video! I was on the fence about trying one of these out, but went to the scratch & dent section of Imex¡¯s site and got a T-90 Pro 6.0(s) Airsoft for under $300 because the box was damaged - super pumped about that since it¡¯s all metal except for the upper chassis and comes with a lithium battery. Thanks man, really appreciate ya!
Man, thank you! I literally just ordered my FIRST RC Tank TODAY a few hours ago. Wish I had seen your video first. Can you believe that I'm 53 and THIS will be my first real RC purchase. (I don't count the crap back in the 70s/80s when I was a kid).
Nice one buddy, that JS2 is a beaute. The lines on that 3d printed truck are so crisp, it looks great. Are you finding that 3d printing is cost effective? How does it compare cost-wise to regular components
Great post; very informative for someone like me who does RC video filming ! Do any of the tanks drive via FPV and provide full duplex telemetry back to a C.I.C. video recording, HUD w/ GPS, passive night vision, motor temp, battery charge, collision avoidance, secondary weapon ( MG ) firing and hit / damage recording. etc ? Do you know of anyone who has built a sit-in simu, simulator that has stick and pedal controls that operate driving a d weapons systems linked to a remote transmitter? How do these fair in water obstacles like the Sherman's with floatation skirts that they used in the landing at Normandy in '44 ? Does anyone make a scale figurine wielding a bazooka or panzerfurst that can fire on one of these vehicles ? Do you know about BAZOOKA CHARLIE ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Carpenter_(lieutenant_colonel) ) ? Would he be allowed to "play" in club combats if his bazookas really fired ? Does anyone make a KV-1, Centurion or Sherman Firefly ? Thank you
Ty for the update, I always wondered with the HL systems, and trying to figure out how to update older tanks. Might sacrifice my latest HL Sherman to finish my all Metal Sherman, mostly for the main gun up n down proper movement.
Nice collection love the Sherman and JP. Pretty great deal for $300 JP.
Great video and my henglong Tiger actually has better response than my torro King Tiger. Thanks for the advice
So if I like the looks of the Tiger early version better is there a way to upgrade it with the barrel recoil? I basically want the best tiger 1 early version even if I got to upgrade it from them. Or Would that be Tamiya full option?
Thanks for sharing. I¡¯m looking for a full metal RC IR 1/16 king tiger but toro and taigen seem to always sold out.
I¡¯m watching this video as research to build an RC scale zero turn mower. The one I want to build needs digital proportional speed for both L & R side drives plus it will need other channels to operate other things.
Very nice collection. Very informative for this newbie.
Just getting into RC tanks. Looking for an IR battle one. Are different brands compatible for IR transmission and receiving? Thanks. What are the brands mentioned in this video? I hear their names but not sure how to spell or find their home webpage.
"Hi, I'm new to rc tanking and have the taigen tiger1 infared version with V3 electronics. I am trying to find out if any other tank brands are compatible for infared battling. Thanks for your videos, myself and others have gotten interested in this because of you. The only problem is getting people to spend $500+ on a tank. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Frank
" thanks for your 10/10 video. Out of all, which rc tank motherboard is reliable? Would you say Taigen has more motor power than Henglong? Thanks
Great information on the tanks and trucks Gary.... Now I want a transport truck!
I want to know what tank has the loudest cannon firing sounds. Most of these tanks have poor cannon firing sounds. I hate the noisy engine sounds.
Actually I would like an M-60A3 as for 6 years I drove or loaded on M-60 and M-80A3 MBTs.
Hi Gary ,enjoyed watching your review. I'm interested in getting into the hobby of rc tanks and have many questions. I'm specifically looking for a Sherman as my first tank. Is there any way to call to pick your brain on which one to get? Thanks for you time.
I have to say I like the recoil! its pretty cool looking! But never mind that! now I know all the tanks I see on the youtube vids! Thanks a lot!
Love the video. New to the hobby. Great stuff
"I cannot stress enough how much better the HL 6.0 system is. I absolutely love the system. The only real complaints i've seen is that the IR functions don't work that well in sunlight and that is easily fixed by taking the sensor apart and putting it in a mushroom shell. I also went on to buy a Mato King Tiger recently. It has the Clark electronics and stuff, all metal body...I don't love it as much as some others because the Clark system feels just so overly complicated control wise. I will whole heartedly agree with you about the Shermans being awesome. I have three HL Shermans, one with wading gear, one dressed up like Oddball's from Kelly's Heroes, and one with a Pershing turret like the prototype from '44, but with Super Pershing parts added. By far they are the best runners I have. I would suggest a Sherman for the people just getting into the hobby because they are pretty much trouble free. Never had an issue with one By the way, your cut the grass comment....Shapeways sells a hedge cutter for the HL Sherman, it likes tearing through grass, hell on dandelions too
" I have an HL T-72 which I¡¯m waiting on the metal transmission for, and I have a Hooben T-55A coming in the male as well
What's the biggest battery you've placed into one of your tanks, i hear that one can run these tank's with a 5000ah for one hour. I have been collecting these tanks over 15 years. Past experience; the oil burner tends to stop working, every time one turns the tank upside down to remove the battery the bb loader is thrown out of whack bb's start getting stuck prior to firing, the suspension went out of whack on my Panzer, then its the 7 minute (battery run) to short of a time for real enjoyment. After a while i noticed that an all metal upgrade was the way to go. Yet the firing system stayed the same they should upgrade it. Thx, for the great vid just subscribed.
Hi, I was wondering if any of these rc's would do ok driving off road or doing a little crawling?
Would you do a video going over the 3d printed truck? It looks awesome!
You have an interesting video and a great vehicle collection there. Take a look at us - you will see them all again! Thank you for showing me! Many greetings from Munich, Bavaria, Germany Uli
You know what would be cool if it blew real smoke weed so when your operating the tank you can get high inhaling the smoke from the turret.
Hey great info thank you.. did you order the upgraded heng long tank on Ebay?
Hi Gary, do you happen to own the Abrams or the Leopard RC Tanks?
Fantastic video sir. Thank you!
Just an FYI, Tamiya had IR battle systems 20 years ago. Absolutely shameful how the Chinese straight up copied the Tamiya Sherman, King Tiger and Tiger 1 all those years ago. My collection is mostly Tamiya 1/16 and Bandai 1/15 scale tanks. The only tank i've ever owned by Heng Long was their original airsoft Tiger 1 and i have to say it was absolutely horrible. The control board inside looked like it had been soldered by a blind 5 year old, Lasted about a week before the electronics gave up and the smoke unit didnt work from the get go. The one good thing was that it only cost ?50 back in 2005. Not going to risk any more money on Henh Long no matter how many bells and whistles they throw in. Tamiya or nothing, absolutely worth saving up for.
Great video! Love the Rover, where was that from?
Oh my! Look at that tiger and the panzer IV and the panther and the jadgpanther!! They are so beautiful ???
can someone please provide a link to the premium Abrams tank with 5.1? or a link to a list of current tanks
you're living my dream dude lol
Awesome man. I just built a BRUSHLESS rc tank, 1/8 thick steel, bb gun proof lol. are any of these brushless?
wow so many Tanks Great video Bud, new friend here
