Online social commentary (media commentary):

Snow, Ice & COLD. How will the 240lb Tank Destroyer do in its first "real test"? Through the snow, and up the steepest hill I have around me.. will this big beast power its way up, or fail and catch on fire?

This is an "Elefant", made by a company named Armortek, in England. I built this kit with my friends. We filmed it here: http://bit.ly/2RpB0ou I did not want the "classic" historic WW2 tank destroyer, rather - bring it into this century as a Policed State Intimidator.. but first, I must test the power of the motors.. and the batteries... and have a little fun!

My vision is: this is a 2019 Canadian Policed State Citizen Control Unit. It's from a "not too distant" Future, and has a thin aluminum jacket. Magnetic Anti Tank Bombs don't stick..

This machine runs on 24v, (Dual 12's in series) and has a run time of about 20 minutes.. It is all aluminum, and quite a work of art to see in person.

My cannon does not shoot anything.. I just completed this build, and at the moment do not have a plan for any projectiles.. BUT, this doesn't mean never! I live in Canada, so a firearm will not happen, but a Tank Definitely NEEDS TO SHOOT! For now, it will have to be CGI..

The truck you see in the video is a 1948 Ford F135 Dually..

If you are interested in checking out this Tank Destroer model, or other models of tanks that are made.. check them out at the famous http://www.armortek.co.uk website

Thanks for watching!

Its absolutely awesome! Really needs a authentic WWll paint job..
"Watching this video brings me back to when I was in the US Army over in Germany; we would have training at a remote location and all of the battalions would participate. I was the communication personnel in an tank that was a wrecker for other tanks. If you ever have a chance to ride in a tank take it; there is nothing else like it.
" This is the video I was craving for More offroad please! Great job ;-)
Man, this tank is simply AWESOME! Mowing over brush, climbing up icy/snowy hills.. just down right AWESOME! Even without the sound of the engine on, it still sounds awesome. Tracks clattering along the bogey wheels..
Hey Medic, loved watching all the build vids and love it even more seeing it in action! How often do you need to charge the two 12 volt batteries?
It would be more realistic if the transmission broke
That is frigging awesome brother, you all did a fantastic job building the elephant and now to see it in action is sooo wicked !!! Tell everyone I said hi and great build series, love team effort!!!
Seconds on and it mows over some tree brush, first thought is "oh this is to much". I mean come on how cool is that. Its not the largest you have but it sure one of the most impressive!! Many thanks for sharing this one with us man!!
That thing is insanely awesome! You guys really did do a fantastic job on it!
Phenomenal job Medic. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Nice run video, that did much better in the snow than I expected. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. All the best to you and the family in 2019 and to the rest of the YouTube Gold/Tank build crew as well!
That tank looks awesome in the snow man. Great hill climb, considering the weight and condition.
This by far is my fav build awesome job and keep them coming and thank u for getting me back into this great hobby .
Can't wait to see this thing in some really deep snow. Looks like it would handle at least a foot! Great job on a great build!
Simply amazing piece of work Great run Medic!
What a beauty!! It's insane how big it is and how the tracks sound!!! It's probably the most realistic rig I've seen you build!!! Absolutely magnificent!!!
"What an awesome machine! Keep doing what you do and lets hope for many more subs 2019 :) Greetings from Sweden!
" It was a good run , a lot of quiet power but with a lot of torque , for this super tank !! I was sure he was going to climb up the hill , it's really a great machine !!
I like the sound kit in the tank, the engines sound like they are under a load. It clacks and rattles along nicely. It seems like it is heavy enough to dig in and get traction but not so heavy it just sinks like a tank.
Extremely awesome! Absolutely love it very cool. It was a long build and wait , but well worth it.
Even growing up an Alaskan this video makes my toes cold, awesome tank man, and an awesome build, shout out to you and your family/friends for putting it all together , and extra for the videos
Its a beast! Over takes anything in its path. Such an awesome build! Still blows my mind how big that tank really is n how smoothly it moves. Almost like a hot knife on butter lol. Yall dun an awesome job on this build aaron!
What a beastall of you who were involved in this build did such an amazing jobwas wondering what you would use to pull it out if it were to get stuck?
3:28 I love how the orientation of the shot almost hides the difference between model and the real Truck!
"Can't say enough about how cool this thing is! Really great job on the build, guys. I'm curious, did you run into any snags along the way? Have any frustrating moments? Thanks for sharing this crazy bad ass monstrosity with all of us!
" That tank?is sick buddy! It looks like a real scale tank driving around in the snow and looks so awesome. I have never seen an Rc look as good as that one?GREAT JOB ! ! !
I love tracked vehicles. I drive an h?gglunds all terrain tracked vehicle in the military, and it's fascinating how the tracks rolls out it?s own road. Really smart id¨¦a. The only thing that?s still doesn?t feel right is when you go downhill and you loose grip. To be able to slow down you need to step on the gas to regain grip at the tracks. It?s logical but it feels weird =) Love the show Medic!
It looks so real! You guys did a great job on this kit
"IMPRESSIVE! 240lbs of raw power. The treads catching on something on the body is a problem you mentioned on the previous video that I witnessed where you drove the tank off of the assembly work bench. You said that it was where the tank treads were catching on parts of the body in the front and the rear just over the tread. I like all the other noises the tank makes - as they are more authentic and then the electronic recording just adds to it. But the catching/clicking sounds are a distraction to the good sounds. I don't remember what you mentioned a the time if there was a real and lasting solution to that problem, but I wish there were for the sake of the general realism of this tank.

I noticed in this video where you began to line up on that distant 2-5 ton truck in the distance and began to lob several turret shots and did some machine gun firing. In that other video you mentioned some extras that could be added for realism like paint balls etc. I like those ideas. I guess C4 is out of the question, right?
" Wow it¡¯s truly amazing how a 240 pound rc machine can do that great video!!!!!
Good video Bud.. I am glad it works so well.. I see it looks like you shortened the tracks a bit, they look like they are working rite now.. Cant wait for next Build.. Keep up the good videos...
Since I have been watching your Elefant series other Armortek videos have been popping up in my suggested links. One popped up the other day of an Armortek tank pulling a full scale pickup truck. That was pretty impressive :> Not that I would recommend trying this (more than once) since it would put a lot of strain and wear & tear on the tank.
I love watching the tracks and suspension work over the terrain
"Awesome medic It's great getting together with long time friends and doing a mega build like that. Crazy Joe never without a beer in hand I love it.
" WOW that thing is awesome huge such a wicked build can't believe how good it does being so heavy awesome video excellent job to all who helped on that massive build.
What an amazing tank Keep up the quality work
Awesome tank guys, it turned it great looking!
Medic, you are so right by saying this is a beast. Can tell by your voice how excited you are with your Elephant tank. Your build team did a great job. Keep them videos coming.
What an amazing machine brother the power it has is amazing. Great video brother
I couldn¡¯t imagine the fear of the troops hearing those tracks squeaking and squealing through the woods...beautiful tank
Congrats on ur 1st adventure with it man ...it is simple amazing to watch it
Really great shots! (I'm punny ) Jokes aside, it looks awesome rolling through the snow!
That thing is crazy cool ,haven't missed an episode yet ,great work guys
"Just outstanding! A real pleasure to watch in action. Hats off to all those involved in the project. I've been following off and through the build so you may have already mentioned it but I'm curious as to what made you decide on this model? It's a beautiful machine, congrats on the ten years. I've been following since the big dirty. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Christian
" It actually does better climbing hills than the real tank! Nicely done.
loved watching this monster come together! i wonder how much it can pull... :)
Again I say WOW it not only looks awesome but goes incredibly realistically over the terrain, Well done Medic you have done it again !!!! albeit with the help with some Awesome Buddies .... So Well Done To All the RCSparks Team!!!!!
That's friggen awesome. Loved the sound it also made without the sound kit. That was an very impressive climb.
Amazing build!! My kids would reck the house and yard with this.
gosh i wish i had the money for that!! keep up the great work!!!
Well worth waiting for. I was looking forward to seeing it on snow. Well done fellahs, we are all smiling with pride.
Another great video Medic!! That tank is amazing!
Because of your awesome videos I ordered a RC4WD Dozer today! Cant wait to get it dirty Hopefully it is that massive and powerfull like it looks in your videos.
Dude that thing is a beast and is so cool! I love it bro great build to all involved!
Very cool video, you guys did a pretty incredible job.
you guys are nuts! - keep up the good work
Amazing build! But am i the only one who would like to see the links of track they took out put it? I feel like if you got into a situation with multiple points of suspension flex they would hit the mud guard. But regardless this is great.
"When I was in Vietnam I acquired a scale model Sherman tank from Japan. It was a wired control system and used 2 6vdc batteries. it looked quite authentic at the time and even had the correct markings on it for the WW II time frame. There were four of us who had these and we used to play in the sand with them. I sold mine to a tanker in the Army and he wanted it. The improvement from that time frame (1967) to present is astounding and worth checking out.
" "Very Nice! Is that back idler wheel hitting the tread wheel when it articulates? Might need to add the treads you removed?
" Soooo awesome! Great build!
That tank is deadly keep up the great work
That was just way too cool!! That is just awesome, you know I'll be watching for more
240 lbs? That is insane
I really like how you have have went the other direction with this tank destroyer! You did it your way and I think it came out really good man!
Impressive considering a real Elefant would take twice as long on that small hill :-)
I am impressed with that thing. It climbs very well. You should pull Moe around in a sled lol that'd be fun. Love this epic tank keep having fun with it
Wow! What a beast! "Tank" you for sharing this with us Aaron!
Aaron, that is awesome! A total beast, but I bet it's a pain to clean up. Lol. Great job!
Pretty nice looking pretty awesome I like the stainless steel wheels on the sides of the tank it looks really nice????????
The details are superb... excellent job. It's not just a show queen either. The elephant looked like it had quite a bit of power.
Man this thing is insane. Winter just got a lot more fun around RC Sparks.
That thing literally is a tank! Awesome rig Medic ;)
I know this is an older video so I don't know if you check your comments on the older videos but I thought it would be appropriate to tag it with the RC I'm talking about. Have you ever heard anything about surface transducers. It's a speaker. I'm curious what it would sound like inside of the big metal thing like this instead of those speakers that came with the sound kit. Hit like if u saw this.
Fun to see that beast running out in your yard through the snow.
This Will strike fear in all the RC cars out there
You're having a BLAST! I'm jealous. No seriously I love it! Great job bro!
All I can say is what a beast. And watching those tracks are mesmerizing
How can you not love this beast.
"I finally got to watch the whole build. Awesome you guys are top notch. Rc on dude's
" That is an amazing peace of machinery/rc thanks for sharing it journey
"This makes me wonder what the size is of a small diesel engine and if there are any possibilities there. :) The chip generated engine sounds sting a little.
" just imagine the fear that ran through the allies as they realised there was a Elefant TD with 128mm on the same battle field as them
You could use it for towing Moe on sledges or instead of ski lift
"Omg, I just worked the weight out in stones...... I'm nearly 17stone and that is heavier than me!!! Amazing job to all, and happy New year
" "Very cool. I have a sneaking suspicion we will be seeing the best Armortek action vids on the net soon. Top job guys and Happy New year.
" Awesome looks like great fun
One of my favorite movie quotes.... "Here comes the fun part sweetheart "... lol This is exactly what we were waiting for !! After all that building? oh yeah. It didn't disappoint ..This thing is amazing.!!! When you turned off the sound.. THAT blew me away.. Smooth as silk man.. says something of the quality of the parts.. Great vid ...
"Good job not painting it all, i love the brushed wheels and canon. looks freakin awesome. You can certainly paint it later if wanted, and its a lot harder to unpaint it if wanted later. Now, can you make it shoot something?
" Supposed to be in bed but when I get notifications from YouTube about rc sparks, I just got to watch it. Especially this build, awesome film as always!
"Thats huge and amazing, i think you can drive it faster if you can control.the tracks with both sticks like your bobcat that tank it should give for a realy nice scaler rescue veihecle... btw it would be cool if that cannon shoots paint ball ammo so you can wage war with other tanks
" "Amazing work and perfect details of the Elefant Next proyect idea: Super Heavy tank T28 (Same Tank Destroyer T95 ""Doom Turtle"")
" It really is bad ass!!
Very realistic driving in the snow!
So epic and nice great job Medic...now you should crush some little cars with that monster...nice job like always
108KG damn that's heavy as hell.
"At 1:58, it scared the sh*t out of me that tank might not topple back...mostly cos the tank design looks back-heavy...but hell that beast made it What a beautiful landscape Medic...enjoy the snow and the festivities. God bless ?
" Love this tank and I love the vids that u do with it
This thing is pure insanity!! Awesome
"Just don't let Thomas Edison near it - get it? Elephant.....? Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think this build has been one of your best series. Maybe THE best because every episode includes all your closest RC buddies, working together. Lots of fun. That piece of equipment is really impressive and I'm going to be waiting for conducive weather, for when you can put the Elefant's strength to the test. I've said before it'll make quick work of the Judge, but I wonder how many 1:1 trucks it could pull?
" Epic Aaron....best video of 2018! Looks so good in the snow!
