Actually Aaron, have you ever thought of getting a Baja 5T, either the high priced 'pay for the name' HPI or a very cheap but exact same model, a King Motors T1000. It would be great to see if you had one of them and stuffed a OBR twin in there or maybe a RCMAX 70cc, you could possible hold a world record for the fastest RC car, people have done 112mph 1/5 baja?with a single cylinder 50cc BZM with 2 gears, but nobody has used a 3 speed meaning you could probably have no trouble beating that 170mph mark with a 70cc or an OBR twin.

That's another thing, I've seen someone have an OBR twin powered Baja reach well over 100mph with a single gear.

Interesting that this model shares the same components as a HengLong. The only thing different I see is the speed controller and the fact the hull is metal. Everything else is the same. I have a Henglong TIger and it has the metal tracks. I upgraded the suspension and swapped out the firing system for the laser sighting recoil barrel and internal illuminating coil to light up the glow in the dark bbs. Fires much harder than the standard system and with the laser sighting great for picking off night targets using the glow in the dark bbs. Your tank looks great.
Very cool. The only problem is way the traverse speed of both the tank itself, and the turret is way too fast. Much faster than historically shown.
I bet that'd be great in a snowy forest montage, after water proofing of course, followed by a tank battle much like the one you did with the truck but more epic. I want one now :(

hey Medic just wanted to share a neat trick I thought up a couple days ago for min. I put 2 Gyro's on my turret servos so it tracks like a real tank and stays on the target over all terrain its amazing they were 10$ each and its Amazing just wanted to share this with u
These tanks are a lot of fun. I have one but its a different manufacturer. The airsoft gun mechanism in mine is almost useless though.
I have the full metal henglong version, nice model and the battery hatch is external so no lifting to top off. The only problem I get is the rx electronics board burning out if I run it on grass or soil. Turning on grass must put a strain on the electrics and if it picks up a pebble running on soil and it jams the track for whatever reason, the RX burns out. Poor quality electronics I think. I¡¯m wondering if the fan cooled version in your tank would be better.

I know this is an old vid but I have a taigen tank, love it except the toy like radio. I'd like to upgrade it with something more hobby grade. Do you use the stock radio's with your taigens or did you incorporate an aftermarket radio with them, if so, what did you use?

" That has all the same technical parts as my heng long. Same electronics, drive train and same gun inside. Be cautious of those transmissions though, my left side stripped out after about 8 months of use (used on paved level neighborhood streets) but mine is a heng long and I only paid around 100 for it
I bought a henglong in 2008, and it looks similar to this, I would recommend this, though. Too many hiccups with the henglong version.
How fast will they go? I found them on amazon ~ $300 includes everything. good price. How does it look for upgrades to the motor and electronics?
It's good you got the Taigen tiger I because I bought a Heng Long Tiger I and right away I ran into problems. The tracks kept coming off. So I let the seller know and they told me to send it back. The second one worked fine but about a few months after I received it, one of the motors started to go much later on (I only had the tank about a year) it decides to quit so its in my basement gathering dust. Stay away from Heng Long tanks they are junk.

Hmm, I wonder, where I live it's illegal to own a BB gun without a gun license, and a gun license is no small thing to get like it is in other country's, but would this tank be illegal? I'm thinking you might be able to by pass the gun license if you bought one of these instead of an actual BB gun.

The esc/sound controllers on these are junk, There are a few different ones out there that give you MUCH better motion control and awesome sounds.
Is there a button to break the transmission?

I looked up Taigen tanks. They do use Heng Long shells/molds/whatever and then use their own 2.4 ghz and "metal" upgrades. Still looks like an affordable tank that anyone and everyone could play with and the worst they would be out is a couple hundred dollars if it breaks. no 2k+ like a tamiya tank!

You can have a lot of fun with even bigger RC tanks. I have a 1/4 scale TIGER II. It's so big that i don't need a bike or a car to go shopping because you can sit behind the turret, but if you doo that watch your feet
if only there was a better market for these tanks, but their so damn expensive.
