The "wild bee" self-propelled howitzer and "rhinoceros" self-propelled anti tank gun are both temporary emergency plans. A 150 mm sfh18 L / 30 howitzer is installed with a new hybrid chassis (geschutzwagen III / IV) designed by alkett Alcatel company, which is composed of J-type parts of tank 3 and F-type parts of tank 4. It started production at the end of 1942 and made its debut in the Kursk campaign which broke out soon afterwards, providing effective fire support for the armored forces.
