K5 is the most successful train gun designed by Germany during World War II. It is called K5 (E) 28cm "Leopold" (Leopold) train gun. Its actual caliber is 28.3cm, its total weight is 218 tons, and its length is 31.1m. K5 train guns were officially commissioned in 1936 and were manufactured until the end of the war in 1945. A total of about 25 guns were produced and were active in the battlefield of the East and West Fronts. There are currently two K5 vehicles, one at the Atlantic Barrier Museum in France and the other at the Aberdeen Military Museum in the United States
