Online social commentary (media commentary):

http://www.RC-ers-Gonewild.com presents this special edition program of Dave flying and testing the ClearView RC Flight simulator called "On a ClearView Night". http://www.rcflightsim.com is their website to download this sim and at $39.95, this simulator will give all the top sims some competition. The Esky 0905a transmitter ($19.95 from xheli.com works perfectly with this sim.

Although there are few provisions for dual rates, landing gears, wing flaps, brakes, etc, the flying characteristics really are well thought out.

Someone put a lot of effort into making this program work.

The graphics are top notch and the amount of planes and helis that are actual replicas of the real models are amazing.

It works with just about and TX and sim cord. I can also using my Spektrum Dx6i, with no problems. This is an excellent training aid to learn to fly and will teach a lot to beginners and pros alike.

But remember, even though you have to know what to do with the sticks in the sim just as real life, you must beware of getting a cocky attitude because you can fly the sim so well. That usually changes the first time out to the field as you see sims can give you a false sense of confidence. So practice more than you think you need to and this will help immensely.

I recommend this Clearview flight sim to everybody. It is really fun and has some neat training aids to help. It works on Vista perfectly.

Check out their website and happy flying.

Dave Herbert.

U sure can tell you have been flying along time! Awesome flying that Tensor.
"Great review!

Everyone should spend some time honing their skills using a sim. You'll save alot of money and grief by doing so."
Awesome video Dave. Looks like a first rate flight sim you have there. Where do you get your music from?
"Hi Dave,
love this sim but i think that RealFlight is the best one every!"
"That's an excellent simulator and a lot of fun to fly. I'm gonna have to get me one. 5*

Jeff"
"AMAZING FLYING! I had no idea how popular the hobby is now.I started in 1966 at school in the U.K. using an RCS single channel system and ""Slim-Jim"" single ch servo and a clockwork actuator by ""Fred Rising"" using a rubber band for power 3 blips plus on long press to get 1 change in engine speed..
Of course, no flight sims in those day's.
Teach yourself Scuba Diving books as well. That's how I learnt to dive.Did the course 5 years later to get a qualification.

Many thanks for an amazing video !"

If you look on clearviews main page, you can also add over 100 additional planes and heli's which makes this sim the far better choice. Can also add new landscapes. Plenty of heli's and planes to choose from and I spent a total of $60 (fms tx $20 and clearview download $40) This is all you need. Forget the $200 + realfight."
"Hey thanks for replying ! It always been like that isnt it.. only recently when the age of the internet allowed people to freely downloading software to try it out before purchasing..Anyways you are absolutely right about your statement.
Cheers have a good day and have fun flying."
Yeah your right Dave that do look really good mate and i see you were flying my next plane which should be in the post, the Parkzone Stryker lol, great video as always 5*
wow,so fantastic!
wow this is one of the collest things i,ve ever seen, this would save a ton ,and it just looks like a lot of fun,you make flying look easy.
Dave, what connector cord are you using for the DX6i and your laptop. I have the clearview RC sim and my DX6i arrives tomorrow...Thanks in advance, always love your videos!
"All those asking for the key, please buy the program. It's really not that expensive. By paying you also support upgrades to this great program and support the hobby.
Remember the guys developing Clearview are a small time shop, so please don't rip them off."
Great video......thanks Dave!!
mannnn...you're videos are awsome...I always use to watch you at my office here in Brazil...I'm almost buying a Kyosho Nexus 30 nitro heli...it's a good heli to learn how to fly? Cheers man
Great Review of the sim. Thanks for not being a "front man". All RC Sims cost more than MS Flightsim, but you can't really run Flightsim as an RC tool. I've tried.
Dave I have clearview and I know for a fact it has landing gear. Not all of the planes are equipped with it.
I can control the landing gear from my controller. Its a Dynam 6ch controller made for Rc sims.
I preffer Pheonix RC, Real Flight G5 is also good. If you are on a budget and can't afford either of those, Clearview is MUCH MUCH better than FMS and very inexpensive.
do you ever use the rudder for turning? and why do you really need one?
