Online social commentary (media commentary):

As our "Combat Series" continues watch my R/C CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopter in a Spectacular Mid air collision. First see Jeff and I combat with his Flyzone Playmate against my J-3 Cub. Then, in a leisurely flight, things went wrong with the Biplane pilot's head, as he seemed to fly the "almost uncontrollable" Avion right smack into my main rotors! See what happens next. Flying these small planes like this makes for a really fun afternoon. So if you have a few old foamies around, try combat flying with your friends.

Thanks so much for watching and subscribing.

Please don't forget to rate the video.

When I started watching and saw the size of that plane I thought to myself... How can this be spectacular? Boy, was I wrong. That was pretty damn cool, Dave
Pretty damn good flying for such close quarters. I can't even keep my plane straight in a huge field lol.
Nice show of flying skill going that fast in that small of a space! Great video!
Thanks Dave , I did what you said ,put the green and red tape on right and left side and worked out great not only that but it actually looks better . I just recently bought the new Vapor UMX . Just love it ! Better lights ,and better supports ! I¡¯m sure you have that one by now
1:37 Great piece of flying skill!! Well done for the avoidance and then not parking it in the wall!
Never a dull day when it comes to Nightflyer. You rock dude.
There's some skilled flying right there. Great video.
The biplane never looked like it was flying so much as a collective series of stalls and dives.
Nice Combat flying! That was just as much fun to watch as the collision! Thanks for sharing. :)
holy crap, that was amazing! i couldn't believe that all that would happen to that little plane; you know, i think that if you wanted to glue that back together, the glue used would probably weigh more than the whole plane. anyway that was amazing and really cool, great flying to you and jeff and great video as usual!
WOW!! You have been capturing some crazy mid air crashes!! Very nice Dave!!! RIP, lil Avion...
Wicked! Nice flying boys! I can't believe that helicopter didn't sustain any damage! Cool
I really want one of those CH-46s, they look so Damn robust! I mean, rotor blades are every heli's weak spot and this one was unphased when the foam plane hit it and just ate it's wing clean off!
I love how the CH-46 is unfazed by the collision.
extreme g-forces had been applied on the aircraft's part until the time that it almost quit and broke up. thumbs high. nice one
"On the first part of the video with the 2 planes. We used to tie small colorful plastic streamers (length depending on variables) to the tail end of the planes
to dogfight. Sure they would both go down but for the most part, be able to fly right away again once untangled. Just an idea for you."
"love it when planes are destroyed by helicopters
this reminds me of when dave powers had a mid-air collision with his esky dauphin helicopter and a palm-z rc plane"
That was the most epic video I have watched since Youtube existed. You guys are awesome.
NightFlyyer, which video editing software do you use? Nice video :)
Now that put a big old smile on my face lol so thanks for that boys ;-) and 5* as always Dave.
"It's only cosmetic! ;-p

Awesome video and flying Dave and Jeff!"
"man that CH-46 didn't feel anything
wow
great vid"
Great video!!! Wow the carnage of the bi-plane. Very nice and what fun to....
Those poor tiny pilots died to death. R.I.P tiny pilots.
Wow, that was beyond repair.
"Since Dave hasn't had time to answer your question yet, I can tell you that he used Magix Movie Edit Pro v.14 Plus. I use the same. It's an excellent editing program.

Jeff"
And I thought the Cessna 336 was the MixMaster... Clearly, that name fits the CH-46 much better.
That was the best video Ive seen so far in this category. Fabulous! Sorry for your buddys plane though.
great video i still don't know if i could actually willingly destroy one of my planes in combat lol lol
Nightflyer is flying a Piper J3 cub from Parkzone. It costs about $120 with the radio, maybe less. It can also fly outside in calmer winds. It is a good starter plane.
"@Mostlyfun
I totaly agree with you on that one i crashed my heli cause i wasnt ready for the wind luckily only the blades were damaged (still a beginner lol) and my bro was like oh sh*t but i just said oh well it happens although i was still annoyed

Anyway awesome vid looks like well good fun

MrCreago"
My GOD the carnage! And the poor little tiny families of those little tiny pilots. RIP little tiny guys.
where did you goet those ? and how much do they cost ? thanks :D
awesome to see the little dogfight and then to see the avion being ripped into parts!
Hi Dave it's Si from England just thought I'd say"hi!" I hope your keeping well, I know no other way of contacting you, but really could do with your help in setting up an electric helli it was set up on another ff9 but now I've gone to spectrum and I know nothing about the setting up of them as my friends always did it but now they have moved too the south of England and I live way up north. It would really help me a great deal of you could help or tell me how I could contact you other than YouTube. Thanks again for all you do on here hope to hear of you soon all the best God bless you, Si.
this truly captures the horrors of war
"@fishingdan - I have done this, it's a lot of fun but LOUD since the emitters put out a high pitched noise while 'firing'.

Dave - There can be destruction with these... if you get 'shot' you lose control of your plane for 5 seconds."
I like how unstaged this was.
Why is that ch 46 coaxial? wont having the front rotor spinning ccw and the back spinning cw suffice the proper amount of counter torque and thus eliminating the need for 2 sets of coaxial rotors? It would look better and probably cost less unless I am forgetting something...
"Dude your video is so cool!!!!

I have a small helicopter....so fun! But yours is just a killer. Freaking nice chopper. Too bad it hit the plane >.<"
