There are also (not mentioned in the video) the most common IR battle code, which the Tamiya code. Most brands of aftermarket boards are Tamiya code compatible.

HL code is standalone CLARK is both HL and Tamiya code selectable ASP/MAKO is both HL and Tamiya code (at the same time)

They should've coded the tanks so that when the ir receiver registers a hit the system shuts down and you would be unable to control the tank.
