I was sent this tank by Banggood for review, but unfortunately it stopped working properly before I could even begin the review. So I decided to do a teardown instead. Banggood sent me spare parts to repair it, but in the teardown process I found the problem and fixed it - before the parts arrived!

This was intended to be part 1 of two teardown videos, but since then another Youtuber called Shen RC has posted a really good teardown video that goes into detail on the gearbox, which is the part I had the trouble with. So I recommend you seek out his video if you have gearbox problems, but also refer to my rcgroups thread linked below.

I found out after asking Banggood for it that this is not really a new tank ¨C Banggood also sell it in a black and white version under another name, SG 1203. This is almost exactly the same tank and all parts are common, and stocked by Banggood.

I like the EAT06 version though because it¡¯s orange, and because it¡¯s available from the Banggood Australian warehouse ??. But be warned - this tank can be VERY ADDICTIVE for children aged between 2 and 102.

A spare gearbox has arrived today from Banggood, and I can confirm that it DOES include both motors.
I got one of these on the way. Hopefully goes smooth

"UPDATE: I have fixed this tank! I didn't have to wait for the replacement gearbox to arrive. I've also replaced the battery connector with an XT60 so I can use some 2S 2200mAh lithium polymer batteries that I have for model planes, and that has been brilliantly successful. Much quicker charging, far longer drive times, and performance slightly enhanced. The tank is going extra well!

The tank is STILL ridiculously cheap from the Australian warehouse of Banggood, only AUD52.85 and with free postage and 1 week delivery. Highly recommended.

"Hey there, I have the same rc tank but mine just wont turn on and i dont find a reason for that. I charged the battery, checked all plugs and tooked a closer look but only the lights flashes. Can somebody help me?
" "ok wow guys just tear into the thing -- my six year old can do it -- first turn on the remote and then the tank and the lights will flash three times with a corresponding three beeps and you are synced and should be good to go. if the lights keep blinking then it has interference and you need to disconnect the battery and start the sync process over

as for the gear box -- I dont think that was the problem in this here video and more so that the main motor took a shit -- remember this is delivered to your home for $60 and you get what you pay for --

also if it doesnt work Banggood will immediately refund the tank and you can get another and you now have all the spare parts you could ever need

FYI taking the top of the body off is a good thing so you can throw some weight in the front nose of the tank. I used 4 chevy truck lug nuts wrapped in bubble wrap so they didnt mover around -- if you want to know why the weight in the front -- just drive it once and you will see the more weight the more realistic it drives and goes over stuff -

also all you guys got is a lemon -- so make bang good refund you or send you another cause once you get a good one ill tell you it is never-ending entertainment -- mine has been beat on for two months almost every day and I've melted the bumper back on it and and to heat and bend the edge of a drive wheel I've hit hard but this is the best $60 you could ever spend

the metal tracks do NOT fit and most every tank will drive different than the rest --- its cheap --

" I have seen them opened. I think you got cold feet. If you break it , who cares? You said banggood was sending a new gearbox. I never understood why guys do that. If they know they are getting new parts jump into it and have at it. You may gave found the problem. Start taking risks. You do not learn without breaking a few eggs.
