240 LBS of ALL METAL! This is our "Tanks for Ten Years" MEGA BUILD, celebrating our show "RC ADVENTURES" being produced for the last decade on YouTube. The vehicle featured today is an "ARMORTEK" ELEFANT, modelled from a WW2 Ferdinand Elefant Tank Destroyer. This was a KIT that we have been building for the last 10 videos, and today we get to drive this machine for the first time. It is outfitted with dual "car batteries", in series at 24v. This tank is ALL ELECTRIC, direct drive running on Dual 24v motors, with a 16:1 gear reduction. My kit has the optional SMOKE generator, though I did not turn it on today. The sound kit is also installed, along with a "recoil kit" for the barrel.

I have not finished the weathering & paint on this tank.. though I will not be doing a "traditional" paint job replicating the German side of WW2. Instead, we are using this tank as a multi-purpose "Mad-Max" / Police Enforcement vehicle.. that can be used in many styles of video.

This build, in total.. is about $10,000 CAD / $6500 USD

A heavy price tag to entertain my friends, and our viewers - but what an absolute BLAST, and AMAZING WAY TO CELEBRATE! This series has been Fantastic, and a wonderful experience :)

Imagine making a bunch more models with this level of functionality and fitting them to fire paint balls or simulation munitions and having tank battles.

"As someone who spent 24 1/2 years on tanks I can tell you to NEVER do a pivot stear on loose dirt or sand, especially with an unsupported track. You'll throw track for sure and tear up your suspension.

Absolutely stunning what was that 7k or more? The tracks are definitely a link or 2 short, there getting very tought when suspension arms dip just take care for a snap the power under it! It looks great in that raw steel finish bit looking forward to seeing the finished painted TD
WOW! Best rc tank I've seen! Always have had a fascination for tanks and in particular WWII Panzers. i still have a bunch of old Tamiya scale Panzer models in the basement that I made as a child. Awesome build and video!
Looks perfect! But I would add some mass , around 4500 g equilly spread over the chasis inside the tank... It moves too nimble compared to original one. Seeing original tank moving it really was obvious how heavy load it had on drive gear

"Very cool! With my background i can conceptualize most of the build, with the exception of the tracks. Would those have to be hand made link by link, or are they something that can be purchased? "Well, quite a machine! I remember back in the day, when you first got your Losi 5ive a good 6 years back, and started to mod the hell out of it, just for a challenge. I have a suggestion for you. And we all know you might not turn down a good challenge! This is the TIGER P chassis, the running gear is same. So....with some effort you could transform this, or get a kit from Armortek and have the FIRST TIGER P in 1/6 , as i have not seen one on YT. Cheers and Happy holidays, Doc!!

Nice Build, Armortek makes some really good models. I have a Armortek Tiger 1 Ausf E Late Production, Very fun to build and nothing beats the quality.

I just would like to congratulate you on such an amazing machine you definitely took it to a whole new level of course it cost a lot of money which anything fun does you could buy used car for what that cost but you wouldn't have as much fun
