I know a lot of people will love this new thing, but this is terrible news for players who enjoy fighting on ground. KD Warriors and wannabe tryhards will abuse this in freemode. It might be even worse than the Oppressor MK2. A deppressor abuser, at least, can be killed. In the other hand using the RC tank + the RC car will pretty much make invincible, and it might ruin ground combat.

After Rockstar finally nerfed the opressor we still had life to save ground combat. But now this rc tank just sucked it all out.
Hey i just want to say I love the vids keep up the great work and the reason why i think your not getting the kill when you destroy the tank is probably bc it¡¯s a glitch or something and it is new so the more players that play with it the more glitches and problems they will find so hopefully rockstar will fix/nerf it a bit

Does anyone know why sometimes you get the kill when you destroy the RC Tank, but most of the time you don't ? Maybe we missed something. Or maybe it's just completely random. Anyway, if someone knows what the hell is going on, that would be great lmao
So yesterday I was fighting some ewo masters with rpgs and bst. They had me pinned down and I was extremely nervous mashing buttons. The only way I could stand a chance was to do the revolver glitch...and the score was 21-19 and the other guy 6-14. I swear, why must people resort to using incendiary rounds and feel like aim bot with a sniper rifle?
The first time I saw the rc tank gameplay I thought the same thing you did, the vehicle is dangerous if in wrong hands and the fact that they put it for free for today makes it even more dangerous
If you kill the Tank your Character appears for like 1 Millisecond where the Tank was destroyed, you used explosives to destroy it. You got the Kill when the explosion that destroyed the Tank also killed the character that appeared for a second.

As for me, as it should be is to have it destroyed with 4 Homings, it should be visible on the map, and of course because it is the RC Tank, there should be no kill for destroying it. And the cooldown could be longer, for sure.
it seems that the reason why you get the kill sometimes is due to selecting a story mode character and canceling it, not sure if saving or recording clips causes the player to be killable though
Another thing you can do with it is if you have the rc bandito you can instantly go to it after it blows up

The RC bandito glitch can also be done with this and it's even fucking worse since you can use weapons from it (driveby and weaponized vehicles) so yeah this will pretty much fuck up the small part of ground combat GTA has

when you¡¯re in the tank you¡¯re in god mode as person, the tank is ur health. if you get hit with blast damage and not direct you die. like how you can get blown of the oppressor without blowing it up.
They should put about a 15-20m cooldown but hopefully it doesnt get glitched like the orb
I haven't tested the Rc Tank vs. the Anti-aircraft flak cannon, but I'm pretty sure it's one cannon to blow it up. Hooking on a nightshark would be a great advantage. Tbh I cannot find any great solution to stop the rc tank on ground. There's many ways to stop them, but fighting on ground with no weaponized vehicles is impossible to survive. Unless if camping on a building, but that's considering not a ground combat. Perhaps driving on the sea or camp in the island will get them away. I don't like running away either, not the best solution I've ever planned, but that's all I got to say about the encounter against them. In short, do what you gotta do to stop them. 2020, I wonder how that's going to go..
Also, Rc Bandito glitch works in same way with tank, but now you can use all drive by weapons.

" I can attest that the rc tank is op. I was able to boost ,y kdr from 1.7 to 3.56 while drunk off a bottle of wine and 3 glasses of whiskey.It's absolute garbage vs areal vehicles, but people will try to fight you on foot.

Yeah I loved this thing when it came out but I didn't realize just how broken it was until I saw a bunch of people abusing it and the bandito and just cycling it, like, its very overpowered, its armor is retarded... If they gave it a fucking map icon it would be so much better.
With this little tank I was able to actually kill a guy with the minigun + Armor thing without even smoking lmao
It's very easy to scape from it and the tank can't aim even to medium altitude and also it can't climb anything
Even worse: vehicle weapons/your own weapons are enabled if you do the RC bandito glitch with the RC tank. Minimap won't work when you glitched out the tank but it's still broken. They really need to patch this quick.

I fought a griefer in GTA Online (PC ofc) and I thought he was a modder because he was permanently off the radar then what I did is teleported to Fort Zancudo to get a jet. Me and my friend who was griefed were flying a jet then later on he said he wanted to fight FAIRLY. What I did is divebombed him multiple times on the jet I stole.

By logic you're somewhere else controlling an rc tank, you should not get the kill when only destroying the rc because it's not actually you. But with the rc it counts because it's being controlled by an actual individual

I think if the tank attacks first and then you manage to kill it it counts as a kill, but if the tank doesn't attack and you kill it it doesn't count as a kill.
Imagine having a great time with your friends on the beach fighting other tryhards and two of them try to kill you with a rc tank. They take ewo away just to add dumb shit like this
I think that its going to be less op on ps4 against good players that can spam rockets, but most of players cant spam fast and with accuracy, i think that spam rockets should not be a requirement to kill this shit that does not need any skill to use

The cannon may not be able to kill in one shot but the not back gives enough time to finish a player off.

Its possible but i dont understand why the tank doesnt ragdoll because i saw in a video it had the samephysics as the rhino it gets shot and tilts alot.
the reason why u didn't always get the kill is because of going into the ls custom. your character is usually god mode when in the rc. but when u go in ls custom to customize your rc tank (or get a blackscreen alert), your character loses godmode and you die when ur tank explodes.

The only thing you can do if you are on foot is to EWO or request your own tank. You have no chance fighting it on foot
The only counter to this thing is the main tanks. Only reason being is you're protected from the plasma cannon, and the explosive cannon on the RC Tank does fuck all in damage. If you have a rhino, you should be able to counter efficiently, the khangalli is better.
How would 5 stickys on the inside of the door of a nightshark then ram into the Rc and detonate turn out?

"The ground combat was already ruined when they added the option to buy ammo from the interaction menu. Tryhards never used the RC car....so let's hope for them to do the same with this. The game also didn't had any sort of balance. The PVP is utterly broken by the simple fact you can carry guns for an entire platoon in you're pockets. If only they would do something like red dead where you have 2 pistols and you can carry to rifles at max.....having an actual load out and remove the option to buy the ammo from the menu.....THAT would be balanced. Add the fact of suicides have a bad impact on the KD and the game would be actually good. I remember how Max Payne 3 was balanced and soooo much fun. They should do like in that game
