Lets not forget the fact that a Rc Tank is more armored than the Rhino Tank.
Hey Ghillie I look at the flamethrower as more of a pve tool, it incapacitates npcs pretty fast and is effective in clearing groups like in a gang attack. My recommendation is have a friend call in a tank (outside of your mc or organization) and use the tank to clear hostiles from a supply mission. Since fire can’t destroy cargo its pretty safe to go crazy with it.
The cops are annoying part of this little toy
Honestly is pretty effective against players for it's one hit kill. I pull this out on Tryhards and I decimate them. The problem I find with the plasma Cannon is that the Tryhard will blow himself up before I put 6 rounds into him. Also, I think a Mini Tank adversary mode would be very cool with this addition to GTA.
Flame tosser. Good guide, Ghillie. Too bad we didn't get a deathmatch or adversary mode to go w the tanks, would have made it easier to get a tank war going.
A couple days ago I was playing with a friend of mine, and a RC tank came to bother us, and at the moment I destroyed the RC tank, I saw that it counted for me as a kill against the player who was using it, unlike the RC Bandito, so I think the RC tank is not a safe way to hide from orbital cannon.
Hey GhillieMaster, I found something pretty cool. I was playing the race and chase arcade games when I was bored and tried the Konami code before the game booted up. Sure enough, it worked and it audibly showed that it did with a little “ding” sound effect before the title screen. This works with all of the racing games but I’m not sure what it does.
The tank can’t be seen on the mini map which is awesome
You might get some use out of the stock gun if you want to make it more difficult for others to see where you are firing from. It still should be stronger, like 6 - 7 shots.
If the cops surround you in this thing, you are basically invincible against the mk2 and other missile only vehicles, because the missiles lock on to the cops and you can finish them off easily with the plasma gun.
Hey GhillieMaster, regarding your troubles in testing the Plasma Cannon, it fires similarly to the Unholy Hellbringer mixed with the Minigun. With an estimated fire rate of 1000rpm.
There is a chance that you will take damage when in the (bandito-like) rc tank glitch, it matches up with if it counts as a kill when the tank gets blown up, so if the enemy does not get a kill for blowing the tank up, you will be in godmode outside of the tank in the glitch, and if you can take damage while in the glitch, the enemy will get a kill when they blow up the tank.. if that kinda makes sense
I had a lot of fun with the flame thrower on mine. Other players just run around in circles trying to avoid it, then when they run to a car to escape, I just torch the car whilst they're getting in and blow them up that way.
in my experience the flamethrower is one of the best weapons, the flames don't do much to players but can completely destroy vehicles in seconds, I've lasted hours with 5 stars and destroyed thousands of vehicles only with the flamethrower
Don't know if anyone remembers that old PS1 game "Tiny Tanks" but the yellow paint job on this tank makes me think of that game

Another nice guide for the RC Tank, though huh I wasn't aware that doing the RC glitch/trick in this case, would cause your player to be visible to others :o it's interesting how the glitch itself seems to work differently between the two available RC vehicles, even though it's basically the same glitch xD

I was able to climb the very top of the military base watch tower from the inside. Its possible just use the jump to glitch up the stairs and eventually you will make it.
Threw the plasma cannon on mine then took it on a road trip from sandy shores to down town . (With five stars) the cops can be annoying, but it's so funny how crazy they get following you everywhere.
Stock weapon shoots bb gun bullets, I like the rocket and lasers.
The rocket launcher is deffo my fave, but the short range makes it useless against choppers.
My only use for this would be on solo missions. So I think it is useful even at the end of 2020. I doubt there will be more rc's on the dlc
It's much better at stealth than the Bandito because at least you can't hear it screeching from 30 meters away. The motor on it is much quieter so you can creep with it easier.

I took the tiny toy cannon because 1. Its more fun and has oneshot potential and 2. That Plasmacannon look out of place
One thing more thing about the RC Glitch. if you spawn a RC tank and a friend spawns a RC Bandito and you both do the Rc glitch and swap RCs, you can throw Sticky bombs and use pistols in the RC Bandito like a normal car.

" One really annoying thing with this is that if you are going down a ramp, the gun still points straight ahead. So if anyone is at the bottom of the ramp, you can't shoot them. The other annoying this is the limited aim height, which the police choppers seem to know exactly where it is and hover just above it so you can't shoot them.
How about using the RC Bandito, and then when you are about to get killed, use the RC Tank. then when you get to many hits on your RC tank, request the RC Bandito again. It's like having Unlimited lives :)
Can you use it for heist prep?
Be warned, when you buy a different weapon it doesn’t save the other ones you bought in the mod shop you have to buy them over again, so say you buy the rocket then the plasma gun, you will have to spend another 200k just to get the rockets again then if you want to go back to the plasma it’s 250k, every single time.

The stock gun is like having a slow rof Pistol or SMG, it even takes a very long to blow up a regular civilian car by shooting at the common weak spot... I would welcome a damage buff to like Pistol .50, Double Action Revolver or even Marksman Rifle levels of damage per bullet.

I think you meant for a decimal point to be present in some of these distance calculations as 14 meters is quite a large distance, 1.4m is not.

had just much fun killing with ease a player with my plasma cannon who was inside his nightshark and ramming my rc tank :D. (btw fully armored nightshark with tiny windows and still easy to kill)
I bought all of the weapons thinking I could use all of them it was rlly annoying cuz I could’ve saved for the bandito
What about damage to other mini tanks? Maybe the flamethrower is anti mini tank?

I know you can't use it during missions, but I haven't tried it with sourcing cargo or something. Does it work for that? There doesn't seem to be any use for it except playing around.

Wait when I was messing around in it with some friends they were able to kill me when I did the “god mode” glitch... maybe even the glitch is glitchy?
I'll probably use the tank cannon since they won't have time to suicide. Also it'll be nice for hitting people just getting on a mk2

GTA V's fire mechanics and physics are absolute trash compared to GTA IV's. The Cerberus' flamethrowers are trash too

dude in my lobby was spawning this in and everytime he got his tank destroyed, he went into his rc bandito to wait out the timer, then repeat.
