In this special St. Patrick's Day episode of "Behind the Build," we'll take a look at one of my all-time favorite scale model builds - my Irish Guards Sherman Firefly IC! ??

I built a lot of M4 Sherman models over the years, and this offering from Asuka Models has to be one of the best ones I've picked up over the years. We'll talk a little bit about the history behind this iconic tank, as well as some of the techniques I used to replicate this Sherman Firefly IC of the Irish Guards.

Happy St. Paddy's Day to you too, Hank! Fireflies are awesome, and I always love the great hessian netting and other camo the Brits used throughout the NW Europe campaign. Just a note--not all Fireflies based on the M4 used the composite hull. There were just plain ol' Firefly IC's as well.

Also something to point out Asuka Models started out as Tasca Models they then went bust after year or two then Tamiya rebox they Easy Eight and Firefly Sherman and then Tasca pop up again under name Auska Models
