Man I think that when I updated my taigen panther g gears to the black steel 4:1s was money WELL spent!! I have recently put these gears to the test I must say I am very pleased and still running very strong after much abuse!! And thanks oddball for a very informative video!!
Not too many videos like this out there, this is much appreciated, and I've been finding out that most rc tanks use the same system.
Great vid oddball as l would expect. As far as lubrication, the oil goes everywhere, an the grease gets bits of sand an grit that gets into the tank. So l find the best lubrication is powered graphite. It has very good lubrication properties. Once run in does not fling an does not attract any grime or grit. I also use it in my 1/6 scale LEOPARD 2A6. An have not yet had any problems after prolonged use. Scott
Oddball, Excellent tutorial. Just what I needed. My metal Taigen Tiger 1 came with crappy zinc boxes that stripped out in 1 hour.

At 19:01 min. The external side transmission on the Tiger without ball bearings? If you want to attach metal rollers, drive and slack wheel (tension roller) as well as metal chains to the Tiger, because of the extreme weight!
